About the role
Our devops R&D team is looking for a devops engineer to help us improve the integration and productivity of our technical teams. The primary focus of this position is to enhance our development lifecycle by automating infrastructure, workflows, and performance monitoring.
You will be a key contributor to the team, working closely with developers and system administrators to create a more efficient and reliable engineering environment.
Key responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and evolve our concepts for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for both new and existing services.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve the automation of workflows, infrastructure provisioning, code testing, and deployments.
- Implement and refine monitoring systems to increase the effectiveness of our alerting and escalation procedures.
Core qualifications
We are looking for someone with a solid background in the following areas:
- 5+ years of experience in systems and production engineering, including 3+ years of specific devops experience in a Linux environment.
- Experience maintaining and deploying highly available, fault-tolerant systems at scale.
- Proficiency in developing with Python and scripting with Bash.
- Practical experience with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub actions, or Bitbucket pipelines.
- Working knowledge of cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP).
- Fluent English, Russian is a plus. The interviews will be conducted in English.
Preferred qualifications
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- An existing AWS certification.
- A good understanding of Linux kernel fundamentals, including job management, memory management, file systems, and networking.
