Freelance Ad-Tech Developer (Prebid.js)

Project Overview

We are looking for a Freelance Ad-Tech Developer for a one-time project engagement. The primary goal of this project is to build and deploy a header bidding solution using Prebid.js on our web properties. As the technical lead for this project, you will be responsible for delivering a high-performing, well-documented, and robust solution from audit to final implementation.

Key Project Deliverables

• Audit our current ad setup and provide recommendations for a Prebid.js integration.
• Lead the end-to-end implementation of a client-side header bidding solution using the Prebid.js library.
• Integrate and configure specified demand partners (bidders) to ensure a competitive auction environment.
• Thoroughly test and debug the implementation across major browsers and devices to ensure flawless ad delivery.
• Optimize the configuration for speed, viewability, and revenue, paying close attention to Core Web Vitals.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3-5 years of professional experience in a technical ad-tech or programmatic development role.
• Proven, hands-on experience with Header Bidding implementation and optimization on past projects.
• Deep expertise with the Prebid.js library, including its core API, modules, and configuration.
• Strong proficiency in vanilla JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS.
• Solid understanding of Google Ad Manager (GAM) and its interaction with header bidding.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage project timelines, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Russian + English language proficiency at a B1/B2 level or higher, capable of clear communication on technical subjects.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience with Prebid Server.
• Knowledge of advertising standards like OpenRTB, VAST, and VPAID.
• A portfolio of past projects demonstrating successful ad-tech implementations.
• Experience with A/B testing ad configurations to validate performance improvements.
