Senior Backend Engineer (Go)

This is a hybrid role (3 days a week on-site) in Warsaw.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, design, development, and maintenance of robust, high-availability backend applications engineered for high volume and minimal latency.
• Define clear application objectives and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with architectural principles.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Architecture teams to ensure technical designs effectively meet strategic business goals and fit within the overall system architecture.
• Work autonomously and collaboratively within a highly motivated team on large-scale, mission-critical systems.
• Contribute expertise in optimizing systems for real-time data processing and performance at scale.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of extensive experience in server-side development with a strong focus on Go language.
• Proficiency with major cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform – GCP or AWS).
• Conversational to Fluent level of English proficiency.
• Advanced knowledge of unit testing frameworks and sophisticated mocking techniques in Go.
• Proven experience designing and implementing microservices architectures, ideally leveraging Docker.
• Experience implementing and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Solid experience working within Agile development methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Advantages:

• Experience with frontend frameworks like Vue.js.
• Experience working with large-scale NoSQL databases (such as Couchbase, MongoDB).
• Experience with Java (especially Java 17+) is a plus.
• Familiarity with data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of high-throughput systems.
